SONAR GUIDE by G-Technology Group alerts the wheelchair and walker user to curbs, step-ups, and low-level obstacles in their path of travel. Users are alerted to potential hazards by audible warning tones.
When a change in elevation is detected the alert LED will turn RED and a high frequency beep tone will be heard.
Obstacles are detected in the user’s path of travel, below waist level, at a distance of 15 feet from the sensor. Obstacles outside of the width of the walker will not be detected.
Curbs & Drop-offs
Sonar Guide will detect changes in elevation (drop-offs and step-ups like curbs, etc.) of 3 or more inches. When a change in elevation is detected the alert LED will turn RED and a high frequency beep tone will be heard.
Low-level Obstacles
Sonar Guide detects obstacles in the user’s path of travel below waist level at a distance of 15 feet from the sensor. Obstacles outside of the width of the walker will not be detected. When an obstacle is detected, the alert LED will turn BLUE and a low frequency beep tone will be heard.
Repositionable Arm
An extendable arm can be positioned to detect curbs and folded back to store.
